The heart was written a few months ago while I was walking through some very difficult times. It, however, is still true today. The Lord loves us so passionately, and carries us where He wants to take us, and gives us strength when we feel faint and are unsure whether we can carry on. I feel blessed to know that He cares enough to invite me to join Him in what He is doing. Often though, it is difficult to follow, to be obedient. I personally hate it when my flesh gets in the way, when I seem distracted and unsure of how to put one foot in front of the other, but then I hear Him softly say, "This way. I'm right over here."
I love sitting back and watching where others around me are going. The paths they are traveling. Seeing others in their journey is exciting for me as well. I enjoy watching the world through others' eyes. It's similar to experiencing a child's "first" anything.
Recently I was able to spend time with some of my children and grandchildren. Oh! what a glorious time I had. To hear the laughter and enthusiasm in their voices. To hear Titus' belly laugh and Bella to sing "Grandma". There is nothing more precious, nothing that touches my heart more than spending time with families in general (especially mine). God created family, I believe, to show us how He enjoys us. He loves hearing us call Him, and watching us discover His creation. He loves just being with us. Come, my Father, and spend time with me. Tell me what is on Your heart today.

The Heart
Because we are in a fierce battle (war), guarding the heart is serious business! It's impossible to know what comes next. We need to stand together and protect each other. Fight, love, laugh, cry, and pray together - always in truth! Truth is NOT an old fashioned notion. The full armor of God is of the utmost importance, yet we need each other to cover our backs - our backs are our most vulnerable area! We can not see behind ourselves. (No, as mom's we don't really have eyes in the backs of our heads) God told me along time ago, and the theme keeps coming to mind, to STAND! If you read Ephesians 6:10-20, God tells us to Stand, and after we stand, He tells us to Stand (again). This must be important because He repeats it! We are also told to speak boldly, as we ought to speak, and do everything in love. Sometimes love is tough! It's not just a warm fuzzy feeling. It is a decision that is made consciously. Why I'm writing this? I'm not sure. It was on my heart!
